Athens, July 3, 2025 – The TREASURE project proudly participated in the Natural Heritage Mission internal meetings, held from July 2–3, 2025, at the Multimedia Center of NTUA’s Zografou Campus in Athens, Greece. The event brought together representatives from EU-funded projects, institutional partners, and the Joint Secretariat to discuss policy alignment, technical coordination, and the future of environmental governance across Europe.
Spotlight on Communication and Governance
Day one opened with the launch of the Solve the Challenge campaign and the kickoff of the Amplification Room, an initiative to boost the visibility of project results. TREASURE joined the Environmental Governance Cluster Meeting, engaging in discussions around policy integration and sustainable management practices aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Knowledge Sharing and Co-Creation
The second day featured parallel hands-on sessions, where TREASURE actively contributed to thematic clusters including Adaptation to climate change in coastal areas
Looking Ahead
TREASURE’s participation in the Natural Heritage Mission meetings was a key milestone in its journey to enhance natural heritage protection and foster transnational cooperation. The insights, collaborations, and momentum gained in Athens will directly feed into the next phases of the project.
