Bar, Montenegro – 26-27 June 2025 — The TREASURE project convened its fourth meeting at in Bar, Montenegro, gathering partners and stakeholders to advance innovative approaches for air quality improvement and energy management in port areas. The meeting consisted in two days of a comprehensive program designed to share knowledge, assess environmental challenges, and discuss the mainstreaming and transferability of novel remediation solutions developed within the project.
Day 1 Highlights
The event opened with a welcome session, followed by an Innovative Solutions Workshop during which solution providers selected through the TREASURE call for interest presented their cutting-edge technologies aimed at pollution remediation in ports. Partners contributed by identifying local challenges and discussing the practical application of these solutions in their respective port areas.
Later, attendees took part in a study visit to the Bar port-area, gaining firsthand insight into the environmental context and challenges faced locally. The afternoon session, focused on the current state of environmental testing across TREASURE ports, featuring updates on sampling campaigns and an interactive tutorial on the Sediqualsoft data analysis tool.
The first day ended with a cultural visit to Bar’s old city and a networking dinner, fostering collaboration among project partners.
Day 2 Focus
The second day began with a session on governance and transferability, where partners reviewed and approved the Governance Partner Report template and discussed strategies to mainstream and replicate TREASURE solutions at regional and international levels. Partners also discussed on TREASURE Strategy for transferability of results, with the intention to plan the forthcoming activities for results promotion.
Subsequent discussions centered on the state of pilot testing with partners sharing progress reports on the implementation of innovative environmental remediation techniques in their ports. Brief presentations highlighted objectives, stakeholder involvement, and timelines for ongoing pilot projects.
The meeting concluded with a feedback and self-evaluation session aiming to enhance future collaboration and exchange formats.
